I received the following email today from a client who was worried about his background check post expungement. I was surprised and intend to contact First Advantage Corporation to verify the removal of expunged cases and how they go about updating their database.
“Thanks for the insight. I’ve contacted Lexis Nexus and they instructed me to obtain the report from First Advantage Corporation. Reason being is that First Advantage has validated information where Lexis Nexus’ database isn’t validated, from what I was told. Apparently, First Advantage is what employers are using for background checks… Just figured I would make you aware for any other clients asking this question.
Good news is that all three reports (National, Federal, and County) from First Advantage have displayed zero information from my case and it looks like all records have been successfully expunged! I wanted to personally thank you again for everything you have done for me and my family since 2011. It has really turned my life around for the better and I am on a path to a successful career.”
