One Advantage of COVID

The only upside for those not being detained is that it gives them a chance to complete the Program I have them enroll in.  Because some of these cases are now a year old, the judges recognize that the client has basically been on successful probation for the year as they have not picked up any new charges.This has led to unsupervised probations or shorter periods of supervised probation. My clients do what I “ask” them to do and they are always better for it.  Now they have had an even longer time to adjust and accept how much better their lives are.  They are also safer to themselves, their families, and the public.  Maybe the only “win” from COVID.
