Last week the Daily Record legal newspaper published a short list of attorneys who were selected by their editorial leadership team, readers, and others in the legal community. I am one of the attorneys on the Criminal Law Power List. Now if you take the time to look it up, you’ll see that the picture I had taken at the last minute looks like a mug shot. I WANT TO ASSURE YOU IT IS NOT A MUG SHOT AND I HAVE NOT SERVED TIME (AT LEAST AS OF YET).
I think I have now made every list or received every honor for the way I practice criminal law. I have never taken this profession for granted and work just as hard now as I did when I first passed the bar. I always say that nobody loves this more than I do, and it is just a fact. They will carry me dead out of a courtroom one day, but it better be after a NOT GUILTY verdict.
I am flattered to be included in this List but it just reenforces that I will continue to defend my clients with zeal and try to improve their lives along the way. That is the standard, always been the standard, and always will be the standard.
