Tough Times Call For Tough Representation

As I am walking to my car today, someone behind me says “Mr. Bernstein.”  I turn and it is the MDTA Officer I was going to castrate and disembowel on cross-examination.  He had a big smile and was laughing as he sticks out his hand to shake mine.  He had read the Blog and wasn’t the least bit upset.  He said “I was away and learned from this.”  He said I’m still new.  I said I was at one time and we all have to learn. He says if I ever need a lawyer or have a friend that needs one we’re calling you, can I have one of your cards.  I tell him to be safe and get me more business and he laughs and says he will.  Now I haven’t seen the prosecutor so I don’t know if she will be as cheerful as the officer was.  I do know he will be thorough from here on out, and that is a good thing (maybe not so much for my clients).  He was a Class Act and a new friend.  Pretty nice way to start the day.
